Join Red Mirror Off-Road Events for our Falling Leaves Off-Road Rally in Pikeville, KY. Our home base for this event is the Hampton Inn by Hilton located in downtown Pikeville. We have our own VIP parking area in the parking garage adjacent to the hotel free of charge. The hotel is just a short walking distance from several eateries, brew houses and boutique shops. Your stay includes a complimentary hot breakfast. Amenities include a 24 hour coffee station, indoor pool and an exercise room. During this three day event, you will experience group trail riding in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky without any planning on your part. Attendees are assigned to a group of ten trucks including a group lead and chase. Groups start each route in 15 minute intervals to allow for a buffer and to avoid congestion at stops. Each days route is completely unique from the other, and all are filled with beautiful autumn colors. Drive 16 miles high across the ridge tops on a narrow paved road as it winds through the forest just feet from the cliffs edge. Experience breathtaking 360 degree views from atop rolling mountains while traveling across dirt and gravel roads carved into the land decades ago by the early coal mining companies. See free roaming horses on mountain tops that are eagerly awaiting your visit but mainly apples! Yes, we provide those as well! What off-roading event would be complete without playing in the water? Not only will there be lots and lots of mud holes and several water crossings, you will actually get to drive up the stream! The routes incorporate constant elevation changes with several somewhat steep inclines and descents. Although most of the trails are groomed, there are a few un-groomed trails as well. All trails are full size and stock friendly. Some trails will require airing down before beginning and very slow speed due to the rocky surface and rutting. We recommend that everyone bring a compressor for re-inflating before returning onto pavement. To ensure you have a great time without the worry of trail conditions, we pre-run all trails beforehand. We literally spend hours cutting back vegetation and clearing obstacles to provide our attendees with the best experience possible. Although pin striping is very unlikely, please understand that with any trail riding, the possibility is always there. Due to the remoteness of the routes, the average daily travel is between 120-150 miles total with the off-roading sections being 15-30 miles. Fuel/restroom stops are scheduled on each days route as well as lunch at very unique locations that you will definitely enjoy. We even think about the small things, car washes are located just minutes from the end of each days route. As with all Red Mirror Events, a catered banquet dinner with cash bar is provided on Saturday evening for registered attendees and passengers who purchased a meal voucher. This is a casual dress dinner with music, surprises and plenty of laughs. This event is limited to 40 high clearance 4WD gas powered vehicles. This is a rain or shine event. For everyone's safety, inclement weather may cause slight changes in schedule.
